A Tradition of Service: Serving Freshwater Since 1987
For over three decades, our Freshwater store has been a cornerstone of the Isle of Wight's hardware scene. Established in 1987 and nestled in the heart of the town, a stone's throw from the bay, we've proudly served generations of residents and visitors alike.
We understand the needs of a seaside community, and our extensive inventory reflects that. Whether you're a local resident tackling a DIY project, a homeowner from the mainland refreshing your beach retreat, or simply browsing for gifts, we have you covered. Our well-stocked shelves boast a comprehensive selection of hardware, lighting, tools, electrical and homeware supplies, gardening equipment, and everything you need to bring your decorating dreams to life.
But our commitment goes beyond just products. We are deeply invested in the well-being of our community. We actively support local charities and are thrilled to announce that we were recently recognized for both our exceptional service and dedication to the community. In 2022, we were honored to be voted the UK's Favourite Local Business, a testament to the strong bonds we've built with our customers. This year, we're proud to add the Customer Service Award 2024 to our list of achievements! This award is a tribute to our dedicated team who consistently go the extra mile to ensure a positive and helpful shopping experience for every customer.
Looking for a convenient way to get your hardware needs met? We offer Click and Collect for a quick and easy pick-up, or local delivery for those who prefer it. We can also ship directly to mainland UK through our user-friendly website.
Come visit us and experience the difference! We're more than just a hardware store – we're a trusted neighbor, a community partner, and your one-stop shop for all your home improvement needs.
Hi, My name is John and I have been the Freshwater Branch Manager since 2020 and worked within Hurst's for just over 7 years.
My experience has been within the building industry since leaving school as a qualified bricklayer and joiner. I enjoy passing on my knowledge and like to help out customers to ensure they are using the correct tool for the job they are looking to complete.
I am lucky and proud to be part of such a great local community, with so many of our regular customers coming to ask for help and more importantly trusting that we will provide an honest answer. It is quite nice to think that people in and around Freshwater have completed improvements to home and garden with a little bit of love from Hurst's.
Pop in and myself or my incredible team will be happy to help.
