W Hurst & Son, a Newport institution, has proudly served the community for over 160 years. Founded in 1859 by Charles Wheeler, we started as a foundry, catering to the booming Island farming industry by making, servicing, and repairing farm equipment.

Hi everyone, I'm Su, the manager of Hurst's in Newport – our biggest store and company headquarters!

For the past 6 years, I've been leading the fantastic team here. We've seen a lot of changes, but one thing remains constant: our amazing customers. We're so grateful for your continued support. In a store this size, it's truly special to get to know many of you by name and build a sense of trust. We're here to help you find exactly what you need.

My Hurst's journey actually began over 30 years ago! I started as a sales assistant in our Freshwater branch and worked my way up to managing this flagship store.

Here's a fun fact: I'm a huge animal lover, especially dogs. We're a dog-friendly store, and I often have treats on hand for your furry companions.
