The door security chain, also known as a door chain or security door chain, is a simple but effective security device fitted to a door to allow it to be slightly opened for viewing or conversation while still restricting full access to unwanted visitors.  A length of metal chain, usually made of steel for strength. The links are interlocked, allowing flexibility.

Key Features:

• Bracket (Door Side): A metal plate that is screwed to the inside of the door. One end of the chain is attached to this bracket.
• Bracket (Frame Side): A smaller metal plate that is screwed to the door frame. This bracket has a small channel or slot where the chain can be engaged and held.
• Corrosion Resistance: Chromium protects the steel from rust and corrosion, extending the lifespan of the chain.
• Aesthetics: Chrome plating gives the chain a shiny, metallic appearance, often considered more attractive than plain steel.
